I just wanted to send a quick note and word of appreciation to recommend any body who needs a good mechanic. My Honda Odyssey was acting up and driving terribly. I was told by my mechanic that new transmission is needed & will cost $3500.00. I got so afraid and did not know what to do. As I heard on radio, so called AAMCO of Pasadena and spoke to Manager. Who told what happened to transmission & soothed my nerves. He towed my van to his shop, checked at no charge, rebuilt, fixed and saved me money. Service was great. Thanks!
Some of the best customer service I have ever seen and willing to help out a stranger as if they were family. Since when have you ever heard that said about a mechanic hands down return customer here.

I rarely write reviews, but this place really does deserve one. Make sure you deal with Robert, he is an honest person, not looking to rip anybody off. He is very knowledgeable about cars, and surely has the best deals/service. Car shops tend to be horrible, but I am very impressed with this AAMCO. A+
The AAMCO in Pasadena,CA is probably one of the best shops in California.
Can't believe I found an honest mechanic after living in CA for less than a year!! Replaced nearly everything on the car before moving here, so the dreaded unexplainable clicking noise sent me to the the companies with whom we had warranties. Firestone: "not the tires, must be the brakes." Midas: "not the brakes, look here, it's the transmission." No one wants transmission problems, and the car's only 6 years old. Well thank the lord above, no transmission problems:
I had AAMCO service my Honda Accord's transmission in March 2012 when it had 156000 miles. Since then, I added another 32,000 miles on the car. The transmission still runs fine and is noise-free when switching gear. I usually don't put down any review right after any service. After almost a year, I think it's time to give AAMCO Pasadena a fairly happy 5 star.
Brought my 2021 Dodge Durango in for check engine light. Problem was diagnosed quickly. Then found out the starter was shot (different than initial assessment, but no other shop was able to tell me why my car wouldn’t start intermittently through out the day for about 2 years.). Got problem fixed no problem. Definitely recommend these guys!
Our experience with Robert and Sadu was very welcoming. They diagnosed care and repaired faster than I thought. Their communication is clear and friendly although this was a stressful experience they did not add to it. Pasadena AAMCO did a great job on my transmission service and were also able to diagnose an oil leak as well. Very thorough work.
Service here is second to none. They did a same day transmission service for me. I will be back to have more maintenance done.
Very helpful and communicative. Had major work done in a very timely manner over the holiday season. At pick up Sadu went over the repair order with me and gave me a follow up plan to make sure my vehicle continues to run well. Back again for a different service because of the great service I got last time. Thanks again.
