I just wanted to send a quick note and word of appreciation to recommend any body who needs a good mechanic. My Honda Odyssey was acting up and driving terribly. I was told by my mechanic that new transmission is needed & will cost $3500.00. I got so afraid and did not know what to do. As I heard on radio, so called AAMCO of Pasadena and spoke to Manager. Who told what happened to transmission & soothed my nerves. He towed my van to his shop, checked at no charge, rebuilt, fixed and saved me money. Service was great. Thanks!
Some of the best customer service I have ever seen and willing to help out a stranger as if they were family. Since when have you ever heard that said about a mechanic hands down return customer here.
I rarely write reviews, but this place really does deserve one. Make sure you deal with Robert, he is an honest person, not looking to rip anybody off. He is very knowledgeable about cars, and surely has the best deals/service. Car shops tend to be horrible, but I am very impressed with this AAMCO. A+
The AAMCO in Pasadena,CA is probably one of the best shops in California.
Can't believe I found an honest mechanic after living in CA for less than a year!! Replaced nearly everything on the car before moving here, so the dreaded unexplainable clicking noise sent me to the the companies with whom we had warranties. Firestone: "not the tires, must be the brakes." Midas: "not the brakes, look here, it's the transmission." No one wants transmission problems, and the car's only 6 years old. Well thank the lord above, no transmission problems:
I had AAMCO service my Honda Accord's transmission in March 2012 when it had 156000 miles. Since then, I added another 32,000 miles on the car. The transmission still runs fine and is noise-free when switching gear. I usually don't put down any review right after any service. After almost a year, I think it's time to give AAMCO Pasadena a fairly happy 5 star.
Very curtious, helpful and fast
I received excellent care and would recommend Aramco to all my friends.
Great service. Personable people
Such an convenient location! The service here is great. The staff is accommodating, the prices here are reasonable, and everything is done in an appropriate time frame. The location is great too, you can't miss it and they have their own private lot! It's a one stop-shop for all of your car needs. They even diagnose your entire vehicle initially! Great prices for even greater service.
Excellent job! Everything was fixed and done in a timely manner!
An honest man hard too find. Every thing was explained so clear an I didn't, know anything bout trans. Solo happy I came here. Found someone I can trust. Thank you !
Third time visiting Aamco and it has been the best customer service and professional work that I have ever received. Brought in my car and they had it fixed the same day. Always go to Robert he will always treat you with respect and always give you the best deal. Trust aamco with your car neccesities.

These guys are the BEST! Matt went above and beyond to get my 2009 Ford Escape back on the road. His service, expertise, and calm professional demeanor put me at ease right away. He made sure everything was fixed and didn't pressure me to get any unnecessary service done. Nobody ever wants to see the check engine light come on and I was expecting the worst, but was more than relieved at the final cost. Thank you for your honest, incredible service Matt! You have a life customer and I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone your way!
Great experience. Took care of my engine light needs and provided good information to fix car. Highly recommended.
My 2014 Honda Accord was having noise problem in the front. I took it to a shop in Pasadena, they took whole day to check and told me , when I called back, that I need a new tranmission and it will cost $4000.00. I brought it back as could not afford that kind of money. I was told by my friend about local AAMCO , so check on line they have very good reviews and are in business for 50+ years, national chain of transmission specialists. So I went there, manager was very professional and friendly. They give me a ride back to my home. With in few hours they called saying it is not transmission , but a wheel bearing costing me only $350.00 with transmission service included. I told all my friend that, AAMCO is the place to go!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff who won't try to upsell or pressure you. Matt was especially helpful, and worked to be competitive with quotes from other shops.
The bottom cover of my car was missing bolts and hanging off and I wanted to fix it the same day. I called morning last minute to shops around the area-- all saying there'd either be a 3 hr wait or I'd need to pick up the car till the end of the day. When I called AAMCO, Matt answered and told me to just come in and they'd fix it on the spot (even though the shop was going to close in less than an hr) and I was taken care of quickly by two mechanics plus they were kind enough to bolt it back up using their own leftover screws!! Not only did they save me money, but also gave me tips about the car and answered all/any car mechanical questions I had while they were fixing on it. It was a 5/5 experience and they seemed honest!
